Hip Pocket Theatre

Avenue Elle has been an Austin musical collaboration since 2003.   The two girls, Alison Lumley and Chrissie Natoli,  sing songs of love, hope and inspiration.  Their sound ranges from that of Norah Jones to Sheryl Crow,  Ella Fitzgerald to Rodgers and Hammerstein, and John Denver to Simon and Garfunkel.    They each play a mix of rhythm guitar and tasteful, melodic leads, and Chrissie adds some mandolin from time to time.   Often an unplanned comedy routine, their stage banter balances out their sweet and soulful songs and entertains the audience, who always ends up laughing at the way the two friends interact with candor and humor.   Avenue Elle’s most  distinguishing feature is their individual vocal styles, which blend to create  a  uniquely beautiful harmony that touches the hearts of their listeners.
